Another Day

It’s been said that Rome was not built in a day. Leaders recognize that building quality takes time.
We don’t have to solve all things all at once. This is a special emphasis for those that typically work with haste and are task-oriented. That includes me.
Just the other day I went to my Mom’s place. I did my laundry and some wedding planning. On top of that, I was tempted to get the car tires and move them back to my current residence. Although I stopped myself. Did I need to get the car tires and add more to my evening? Maybe I will be able to do them later on with my brother! So I left them there and got home at a good hour.
I didn’t feel burdened that evening to solve all things at once. I felt refreshed and had energy to relax and enjoy some downtime.
Every day presents its problems and issues and things to do. As leaders, it is important to do the most important things, and to make time for them. Sometimes, there is another day to do those things that can be put aside.
Time is a precious resource. So is our energy and effort. Recognize the opportunity, if it presents itself, to postpone tasks to another day. A little bit, done each day, can contribute to maximizing our resources of time and energy.
