Insignificant Is Significant

At times in our lives, it may seem like our problems are too small for God. We may consider them insignificant and not worth our good Father’s attention, ministry or healing.
Not too long ago, this happened to me.
For many years, my legs would regularly fall asleep. This caused some discomfort, tingling and required that I pay attention to how long I kept my legs in one position. If I crossed them or sat in the same place for too long they would very quickly fall asleep.
However, I never really thought about it as a big deal. I had settled for the fact that this minor inconvenience would just always be part of my life.
However, for God, the insignificant is not just insignificant. For God, even small inconveniences are of great significance. That is to say, He cares about each of the minor details of our lives and they matter to Him!
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:29-30).
Not too long ago, I attended an event at my local parish, in which those present were invited to go and receive prayer for healing for a variety of different specific things.
When the prayer leader shared an invitation for tingling legs, it immediately resonated with me. However, I only thought of this as something very minor. I figured someone else may have something more serious going on that perhaps they needed prayer and healing more than me.
After significant wrestling with God and wondering whether I should go and receive healing, I got up and went.
At that moment, I gave God permission to work and move in my life. I made a small act of faith and trust in a God who heals that He would heal me too.
As I received prayer that evening, my tingling legs were healed on the spot! God did big things for me even with something seemingly small.
This reinforced for me that the little things matter too!
I invite you today to give God the little things of your life as well and allow them to be transformed.
