Sabbatical Entries

I worked as a lay missionary with Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) for six years. During that time, I shared the Gospel with thousands of people and built up leaders for the Church. My work reached many souls around the country. I was a dedicated evangelist with a passion for bringing young men and women to encounter the love of Christ. God changed my life with this missionary calling. He used my Yes to impact others as well.

I went on sabbatical for rest and reflection. I wrote about my experience of God’s love. There were five key Scripture passages that spoke to me. That gave me the impetus to write these thematic reflections. My intention is to help my fellow supporters, staff members, and subscribers grow their relationship with Jesus Christ through these writings.

These Scripture verses were alive and active during my time in ministry. They provide the foundation for each thematic piece, which is composed of stories, commentary, and testimonies during my time as a lay missionary. They include excerpts from Psalm 27, Matthew 11, Isaiah 43, Galatians 5, and 2 Corinthians 12.

The overarching theme is that God has a great calling for you. He wants to use you, where you are, and with your particular gifts. Be open to His call!

You can expect to reflect and probe deeper into prayer through these written pieces. Each sabbatical reflection is about a seven minute read. So sit back, drink a nice cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy.
