Figuring It Out

I sold a damaged car “As Is” for the first time. I felt anxious if I could sell my car properly and if I could get a willing buyer. It turns out that someone did buy the car within two days of the posting, although it was in cash. I wasn’t sure if the money was real! But it was. Too good to be true? No. I did my research and figured out how to make it happen.

As a leader we can adopt two attitudes to help us with figuring things out. We can have an attitude of learning and an attitude of trying again. If we have these, we will never lose the valuable lessons from trying to figure things out. With my car, I learned how to make a sale, even if it had an underlying mechanical issue. I was prepared that maybe it wouldn’t work out, but I wanted to learn from the experience.
